Jolynn: 2021 NRH Osprey Award Winner

That was last year and she really did not want to be here we're not very positive not very conducive to her learning honestly I didn't think I would have graduated I thought about dropping out many many times then she likes slowly started to warm up to me specifically until like online we were still able to work together even online during the pandemic I was working through screen but the teachers were really accommodating understanding differently this year teachers they stay on you in a car constantly motivate you so it always pushing her and having a more one-on-one relationship with teachers really helped her but I went to public school one of the problems mainly was that you have to be on the same topic looks like you may already get the topic and you're sitting here waiting for everybody else to get it and then like here it's like I'm not being pressured to move on to next I'm finished this when I'm ready to move on and move on one of her help Julian cuz Winfrey allowed her to do things her own way to do things at foam Pace we allowed her to express herself in to be herself and to grow as a student to get a she was just lying to like I couldn't even believe it helps and I'm not talking about just doing them to pass them she was an a student your progress is like happened so fast you don't even see it until you're like wow I did all that improved so much and she became like a real leader in herself and in her family that was just great to see she was just so kind-hearted and willing to help others and just always cheerful you know the person in the room everybody else keep it up keep your positive spirit life is going to happen don't let it get you down keep that positive wonderful spirit that you have everything how to handle school so well and I look forward to see what she's going to do
